A Bit About Me

In 2024, I made the decision to transition from a decade-long career in production artwork and management to explore opportunities within the ECO4 sector, focusing on submissions and compliance. This career change provided extensive exposure to industry processes including compliance requirements, building regulations, and domestic heating systems, which developed a strong interest in property performance and energy usage.

After a year working in submissions and operations management within the sector, the decision was taken to establish a business dedicated to supporting installers with documentation and compliance processes. This led to the formation of Warmstead Ltd, with a focus on helping companies maintain accurate paperwork, meet scheme requirements, and streamline submissions.

As part of strengthening industry expertise, I made the decision to undertake the ABBE qualification in Domestic Energy Assessment through Elmhurst Energy. Achieving accreditation as a Domestic Energy Assessor enabled a deeper understanding of residential properties, building efficiency, and EPC assessments, complementing existing knowledge gained through compliance and operational work as well as allowing me to pursue working with estate agents accross Scotland.

Following completion of the DEA qualification, further professional development was pursued through the National Energy Action Level 2 Award in Fuel Debt Advice in the Community and the Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness. These qualifications expanded knowledge of energy tariffs, household energy consumption, billing, and the impacts of fuel poverty, enabling informed guidance for clients, landlords, and homeowners on improving energy efficiency and managing heat loss within properties.
